Zooey Deschanel looks incredibly different without makeup! I had no idea she wears fake eyelashes all the time. I felt like this was an interesting spark to a conversation on “authenticity” as I feel like Zooey Deschanel tries to fill the role of the authentic, quirky, “real” not fake girl.
Mad Men star Jessica Pare also looks a little jarring, but we’ve never seen her outside of the Mad Men franchise where everyone is so stylized all the time. It would be awesome to see Christina Hendricks in a shoot like this.
It just feels weird to us to have a girl so young in a feature like this. But we have to say she is gorgeous! Are we wrong in thinking though that she is not actually biologically related to Michael Jackson? If they are, they look nothing alike!
What do you guys think of this feature?

Kristen Stewart sullenly attended the event in a Stella McCartney jacket and skirt, H&M blouse and Stella McCartney shoes.

Reese Witherspoon wore a Stella McCartney Isabel silk-cotton dress.

Zooey Deschanel in a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 strapless dress. The dress is adorable and very Zooey, but the tights look weird when she’s so bare up top!

Miranda Kerr wore a dress from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2012 collection.

Gwen Stefani in a Stella McCartney Fall 2011 black silk jumpsuit with sheer panels and a peplum waist. The singer finished the look with Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps which are bit yawn worthy, but I guess the simplicity was important to keep the look from running away from her (literally). The runway version has polka dots, so I’m sure T is glad she chose to go with the solely black instead.

The runway version of Gwen Stefani’s look.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore a simple white tee, a Stella McCartney black blazer with Stella McCartney ombre jeans. Her clutch and black leather ankle boots with white platforms were both from the Fall 2012.
So why were all these lovely faces gathered? For Paul McCartney’s new video, My Valentine. You can watch the video below:

Comparing the Writer’s Guild Awards to other awards shows in the same season is kind of like comparing a 7th grade bar mitzvah to the prom. Nonetheless, like any well bred lady, we don’t mind an excuse to get dressed up, or judge those that did. On that note…
Here are a few choice red carpet arrivals:
Kristen Wiig in Valentino Pre-Fall 2012.
With Rose Byrne and now Kristen Wiig opting for a jumpsuit instead of a traditional dress, I’m thinking it might become a red carpet staple for fashion forward dressers. You might remember us highlighting this exact look from Valentino’s collection here, and I wish she would have taken a hint from the model and would have paired the look with black heels instead. Oh, and considered throwing on a bra. Other than that, have to say I adore this jumpsuit.
Leslie Mann in a nude, feminine silhouette.
Zooey Deschanel, who cohosted the event in a vintage Shareen gown. The bohemian look is certainly her style, but I wish she had gone for a more tailored look or at least at different print.
Amy Poehler in a gold David Meister one shouldered dress, paired with Jimmy Choos.
