Alber Elbaz recently cast real every day women and men, ranging in age from 18 to 80 in his fall 2012 campaign. (Is it sad that this is news?)
Steven Meisel photographed the campaign, and Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme of House + Holme provided creative direction.

“I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes,” Alber Elbaz told WWD. Because you know, designer clothes should never be worn in the real world, just inside your mansion where you, like Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette, are just too refined to go outside.
And the older lady who is one of the centerpieces of the campaign is apparently 80 years old and was once a “showgirl at the Apollo.”

What do you think of the campaign?

haha how clothes look on different sizes? seems to me he still went for too skinny – especially at 80 years old! Anyway! Leaving this comment aside, the add does look great, I do love it actually! Thanks for sharing this:) X
My thoughts exactly! Maybe they will release more images of other women of different sizes–though I doubt it!
